jillypoet: mom trying to write

Each day I wish I had invented waterproof sticky notes (for shower inspiration) or pen-friendly diapers to get down all my quirky thoughts that I am sure are relevant and publishable. And so God (actually another writer-mommy) sent me The Blog.

Auld lang...

I couldn't let December go by without at least one post! And it's a good one--something great to end the year on. My poem, I am No Mary. You Are No Lamb, is going to be published on mamazine! I have sent out a lot of poems in the past four months and it is good to finally have at least one answer--and a positive one, at that!

I'm not one for resolutions, but I do plan to write more in '08, to listen less to the news, listen more to my children and entertain all offers to ship my husband to Antartica on a slow boat. Oops. Did I say that or think that? Today is one of those days where I imagine my former boyfriends are all wonderful dads doing wonderful things with their children and families, while I am stuck with the boob behind door #3, the boob I chose, nonetheless.

Never fear readers (if any of you are still out there...) there will be more poems to come!

Congrats!

Your comments about your husband struck home for me. Can't tell you how many times I've thought the same thing! I have way too many poems about being pissed off! LOL It helps, though.

Glad to see you back posting!
